Editing Software

Premiere Pro is an advanced video editing program  that enables the creation of professional video and may be beneficial for both teacher and student presentations. The program has many features and capabilities and may demand more time to learn then some of its simpler counterparts, but the results are also much more rewarding. It is compatible with both Mac and PC. However, it is not available on an iPad. The program can be bought or accent with a Creative Cloud account with a student/teacher discount when used for education.

If you are looking for a simpler video editor and are not interested in top quality and a difficult learning curve, the two programs below may suite your needs better.

iMovie is a video editing program available on a Macintosh computer, iPad, iTouch or iPhone. It allows more capabilities than its PC counterpart and is less advanced and easier to use then Premiere Pro. When comparing Premiere Pro and iMovie, Premire Pro is like a manual or switch shift car and iMovie is like an automatic (iMovie is easier to use and more convenient, whereas Premiere Pro takes skill and practice but achieves better quality and variety).

Windows Movie Maker is the PC standard video editing software. It has fewer effects and capabilites than iMovie. However, it allows basic cutting, editing and standard effects.
